Carol now lives in the Anza-Borrego desert, a place she often paints.
Carol Lindemulder paints oil landscapes, big ones. Her style is impressionistic, and her subjects often come from her travels and writings. (see writings)
Lindemulder paints the places where we live, and the places which we leave behind; the seeds we sow, and the fallow fields. Color is the language she uses to convey each place, each personal choice of home.
"Most of my paintings have a path,..... a road, a street, a river,....a place from which we start the adventure. Sometimes the path ends, showing the destination but not actually there. Sometimes the path disappears, leaving a mystery! Sometimes, though the destination is there, .... a tree, a town, a shore, there still remains the question,....proceed or withdraw? The path and the question are always in my mind."
